The Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex in Jakarta transformed into a vibrant epicenter of entertainment during the month of May 2025. From the magical performances of Disney on Ice: Find Your Hero to electrifying concerts by international music icons, the area buzzed with excitement, drawing thousands of attendees and solidifying Jakarta’s status as a cultural hub.
Disney on Ice: A Spellbinding Finale
Concluding its Jakarta run from May 2 to May 11 at Istora Senayan, Disney on Ice: Find Your Hero captivated audiences with its dazzling ice-skating performances. Featuring beloved characters from Encanto, Moana, Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Tangled, the show combined intricate choreography, stunning visuals, and timeless music to create an unforgettable experience for families and Disney enthusiasts alike.
Roderick Tjandra, CEO of One Step Forward and Managing Partner of Disney on Ice in Indonesia, emphasized the show’s significance: “This isn’t just entertainment; it’s a celebration of Disney’s magic that will create unforgettable memories for audiences of all ages.”
J-Hope’s Sold-Out Solo Debut
On May 3 and 4, BTS member J-Hope held his first solo concert, HOPE ON THE STAGE, at the Indonesia Arena. The two-day event was a resounding success, with fans eagerly filling the venue to witness J-Hope’s dynamic performance. The concert featured a mix of songs from his albums Jack In The Box and HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, including hits like “More” and “Arson”. J-Hope’s energy and charisma lit up the stage, leaving fans with unforgettable memories.
DAY6’s Heartfelt Performance
Korean rock band DAY6 also graced the GBK complex with their Forever Young world tour concert on May 3, 2025. The band delivered a heartfelt performance, showcasing their musical prowess and deep connection with fans. Despite facing challenges, DAY6’s dedication ensured a memorable experience for all attendees.
