Luna Maya & Maxime Bouttier’s Jakarta Wedding Reception: A Glamorous Grand Finale

Celebrity couple Luna Maya and Maxime Bouttier closed their wedding festivities with a dazzling Jakarta reception at the Four Seasons Hotel, bringing a fashionable and emotional end to their highly publicized celebrations. The event was an elegant contrast to their earlier intimate wedding in Bali.

A Reception That Celebrated Togetherness and Freedom

Rather than a traditional formal setup, Luna and Maxime chose a relaxed and open concept. There was no stage, no aisle, and no assigned seating, encouraging guests to mingle and move freely throughout the evening. Luna emphasized the event was meant to be a gathering of friends and family, not a rigid ceremonial affair. Maxime added that this would be their final wedding-related event before embarking on their post-wedding holiday in August.

A Bold “Sun and Moon” Theme in Monochrome Glamour

The reception embraced a dramatic black-and-white “Sun and Moon” theme, reflected in both the décor and the dress code. This cosmic symbolism subtly referenced the couple’s personalities—Luna, whose name means “moon,” and Maxime as the balancing “sun.” The venue was styled in modern elegance, avoiding traditional formal stages and instead focusing on ambiance and intimacy.

A Sparkling Silver Gown with Feathered Flair

Luna made a grand entrance in a custom silver sequin gown, asymmetrically cut and fully embellished with glittering details. Her instructions to the designer were clear: “As much bling-bling as possible.” She wanted something different from her simple Bali wedding look, and this bold, high-glam outfit made a powerful fashion statement. The gown was topped off with a stunning white cloak trimmed with soft feathers—an unexpected gift from a Malaysian designer friend, adding drama and elegance.

A Unique Bouquet of Rare Black Calla Lilies

Instead of the usual bridal bouquet, Luna carried an eye-catching arrangement of black Midnight Calla Lilies, a rare flower known for its mystery, strength, and modern appeal. Each stem can range from USD 52 to 135, making the bouquet not only symbolic but also a luxurious accessory. The bold floral choice aligned perfectly with the evening’s theme and her daring fashion direction.

A Star-Studded Guest List Filled with Famous Faces

Although originally planned for around 500 guests, the reception welcomed nearly 800 attendees, including many of Indonesia’s most popular celebrities. The guest list featured names like Oka Antara, Paula Verhoeven, Daniel Mananta, Denny Sumargo, Edric Tjandra (who acted as the MC), Lucinta Luna, Kenji Hans, and Bubah Alfian, among others. Everyone came dressed in their best dark formalwear to match the theme, giving the event a luxurious red carpet vibe.

Sheila On 7’s Surprise Appearance Delights the Crowd

A major highlight of the night was the surprise performance by legendary Indonesian band Sheila On 7. Known for their nostalgic hits, their presence brought an emotional and euphoric moment for both the couple and guests. Luna has long been a fan of the band, and their setlist included songs that hold personal meaning for her. Guests were seen singing along and dancing, making this a deeply memorable part of the night that added sentiment to the glamour.
