Star-Studded Indian Billionaire Heir Wedding Ceremony

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant just tied the knot in Mumbai with a lavish celebration that drew A-list guests from around the world. After seven months of lavish pre-wedding celebrations, Anant, the son of India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika, a pharmaceutical heiress, married in front of thousands of guests.

The event attracted celebrities like John Cena, Shah Rukh Khan, Kim and Khloé Kardashian, Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra, and former British prime ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson. Many top figures from Indian entertainment, sports, business, and politics also attended.

The grand wedding was held at Jio World Convention Center, which is owned by the Ambani family. Guests arrived in custom-designed sarees, lehengas, and sherwanis, setting trends in Indian wedding fashion. International guests also honored traditional dress codes, with notable outfits including John Cena’s embroidered sherwani and Nick Jonas’ sequined baby pink attire. Priyanka Chopra wore a stunning yellow lehenga, while Kim and Khloé Kardashian dazzled in gold and red saris.

The venue was transformed into a miniature version of the holy city of Varanasi and  featured performances by celebrities like Chopra and Cena and other acts, including Afrobeats star Rema. The groom wore a golden sherwani paired with sneakers, while the bride dazzled in a hand-embroidered ensemble by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, adhering to Gujarati traditions. Her outfit included a 16-foot-long veil and a seven-foot-long detachable train.

The Ambani family, who own Reliance Industries, spent hundreds of millions on the wedding. The event included a red-carpet arrival, high fashion, and luxurious décor. Creative director Manish Malhotra managed the month-long festivities, ensuring every detail brought joy to the guests.

Anant Ambani, a Brown University graduate and director at a Reliance energy business, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharmaceutical company founders, had a high-profile wedding that followed seven months of pre-wedding events. These included an engagement party with celebrities, a dinner for 50,000 villagers, a pre-wedding bash with Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, and Ivanka Trump, and a Mediterranean cruise with performances by the Backstreet Boys and Pitbull.

This wedding followed the great tradition established by Anant’s sister Isha’s wedding in 2018, which included a private concert by Beyoncé.
